Hmmm...this is an interesting possibility. JA98 for Dorsey and say a sixth? Or straight up? For the record i havent heard the falcons are even interested. But you have to wonder if the situation isn't perfect for a deal. We have an overdrafted DE that is perfect for a 3-4 wallowing in mediocrity in our 43; the KC chiefs have an overdrafted (in the eyes of current management as they run a 3-4) 4-3 DT struggling in a 34 front.

Thoughts? Way too impossible? BTW one thing discussed on the NFL network was how Dorsey's rookie contract was cap friendly. JA98's would also be very cap-friendly

What's with the obsession this board has with Dorsey? Well Dorsey and every other player that gets cut and/or is on the chopping block?

If it invlved getting rid of anderson I would be in. although he did almost get a .5 a sack this weekend. I think he has little to no work ethic. That should be evident by sid and beeeeerman coming in a playing well so quickly.

Noone can deny that Babs, Peria Jerry ,and Glenn Dorsey would make a great future DT rotation.....

Quote

Glenn Dorsey Base Salary
2009: $385,000, 2010: $983,500, 2011: $1,582,250, 2012: $2.181 million, 2013: $2.75 million (Option Year),

The problem is..... What would we trade for Dorsey ?..... I honestly think that we could get Dorsey for a 3rd round pick........ I would offer JA98 and a 5th round pick.

i am sure TD is entertaining the idea. ever since jared allen left for vikings, the LSU's defensive front for the chiefs isnt cutting in the base 3-4. dorsey seems lost as a DE or doesnt quite fit.

why a swap for JA? isnt JA benefiting for us as a DE and DT? isnt the key to our dline is rotation rotation rotation? why not grab dorsey for a 1st rd pick 2010? if you think we are getting brandon spikes, think again, i am pretty sure he will go in the top 10 this year

I would love us to get Dorsey, just as a backup and possible starter, but I would hate to have to give away the house for him. I'm sure Pioli has called TD, to let him know that was probably one of his first calls. :P

It would be pretty lame if we traded JA98 for Dorsey and JA98 turned out to be the better DT. I'd trade for Dorsey for a 4-7 Rd pick and that's about it.

That's not going to happen lol.

If we still had a healthy Jerry, I'd almost trade Babs and JA98 for Dorsey. We need two big fat DT's to completely stuff the middle.

The Chiefs are very disappointed in Tyson Jackson and Glen Dorsey.

Everyone also keep in mind that we traded for former first round pick tye Hill with a 7th rounder.

Dorsey is not going to get a 1st round pick in a trade with any team.

lol. JA98 has had maybe 3 good games in his entire career and just because one of them was last week someone thinks he has trade value. If TD were able to pull off getting trade value for him he is not just a genius he is a miracle worker. A high school dlineman could get to Hill.

I'm all for it if the cost is the following:

JA98 and a 4th/5th
3rd round pick

he didnt play too shabby v the cowboys, and I can't trust JA98's play at DT yet.

a first is too much for dorsey at this pt. Maybe before the start of the season.

And to think that 80% of the folks on TATF and Atlanta sports talk radio were slobbering over Glenn Dorsey eighteen months ago and wanted to take him instead of Matt Ryan....LMAO
