Potential Free Agent pick ups

Resign Tyson Clabo, Harvey Dahl, Michael Koenen

Sign

Backup Quarterback Chris Redman's contract is up and maybe we could go after Tarvaris Jackson

Adewale Ogunleye DE Good pass rusher and consistent Chicago just aquired Gaines Adams may be less of a need now

Thomas Howard OLB pass protection OLB just what we need and will help our secondary

2010 NFL DRAFT

Trade for a 2nd and 3rd round picks including compensatory Foxworth and Boley 4th and 5th

2nd round-Brandon Spikes-You might say he wont drop this far but he is very emotional and this week letting it get to him, poked Georgia RB in the eye, earning himself a half a game suspesnion, none the less he could drop

3rd round- DeMarco Murray- somebody to compliment Michael Turner

3rd round- Marshawn GIlyard- Explosive weapon #2 WR

4th round-Jermaine Cunningham- Putting together a nice season, fantastic pass rusher only, which is a big liability

4th round-Chris Scott- gGeat offensive lineman/depth-high upside

5th round- Lamarr Houston- Big run stopper compliment, Peria Jerry

5th round-Brandon James-Playmaker Kick returner to compliment Eric Weems who is developing at WR

6th round?- Armanti Edwards- Special teams/Trick plays/Wildcat?

What do you think?

I know there are alot of Gators but those are our needs, wont happen but i would love if just half the picks came true

FA
I dont think we sign a FA DE, but if we do I would rather sign Kampman, he is a better overall talent at DE. You fail on the Tavaris Jackson signing, I would rather go with Shockey LOL.

Draft
I dont think that Spikes will fall that far at all he is a 1st round pick, I still wouldnt want him though I know he is not a WLB. I think we dont need a undersized DE in Cunningham, we already have Beirmann, Sidbury as our pass rushers. I like the WR in the 3rd and I love the Chris Scott pick.

The biggest problem that i see with your entire Offseason is the lack of attention to one of our biggest problems at CB, you didnt draft a CB or sign one in Free Agency.

Okay, I am running with your scenario.

Resign: Clabo and Dahl to nothing more than 3 year deals. Koenen gets a long term contract. Redman gets a 1 year deal.

Sign: Jackson can stay in Minnesota. As for FA DEs, I target Kampaman, Ray Edwards, or Daryl Tapp before Ogunleye, but only because they are younger. Thomas Howard is a great coverage LB, but is a bit weak against the run, so I also target Tampa's Barrett Rudd. The first DE and LB to sign gets the job, the rest go back on the market. In the end I am hoping for Kampaman and Rudd.

Draft: I am assuming you meant to trade our First for a Second and Third.

2nd: No to Brandon Spikes, we already have a young, productive MLB. We either target the top center available, most likely Kris O'Dowd or Stefan Wisnewski, or the top CB, most likely Crezdon Butler. I prefer O'Dowd. McClure is getting old, and O'Dowd is the first TRUE Freshman to start a game at C for USC.

3rd: No to DeMarco Murray. We already have Jason Snelling, who has looked good in a limited role. Here we target Boise State CB Kyle Wilson or Alabama CB Kareem Jackson. Either WIlson would be an excellent choice. but I'm saying Jackson, because he has been in an NFL style defense at Alabama.

3rd: The targets here would be Cincy's Marshawn Gilyard or UT DT Dan Williams. Gilyard would give us a nice possesion receiver opposite of Roddy White. Williams has really come on under Monte Kiffin. After dropping that 3rd and 3 pass Monday night, Jenkins is on his way out, so Gilyard is the man.

4th: I like the Jermaine Cuningham pick. JA98 is a bust and is hopefully gone after this season. JA55 is getting old.

4th: I love the Chris Scott pick. We get a guy with LT ability to play RT or he could probably slide in and play RG. If he could keep his weight under control, I believe Scott would be long gone before this pick.

5th: I like the pickup of a DT. If LaTech DT D'Anthony Smith is still available, I would rather have him over Houston, but I'm not sure he will be so we will go with Houston.

5th: I wouldn't use a 5th round pick on a KR. I would target LSU OLB Perry Riley or Clemson WR Jacoby Ford here. Riley is the pick here, but only because the Defense needs all the help it can get.

6th: My targets here would be CMI WR Bryan Anderson or UGA DT Kade Weston. Anderson is a slightly faster version of Brian Finneran. Weston is having a nice Sr. season and has great size. Weston is the choice, because you can never have enough depth at DT.

In Summary:
2: Kris O'Dowd C USC
3: Kareem Jackson CB Alabama
3: Marshawn Gilyard WR Cincinati
4: Jermaine Cunningham DE Florida
4: Chris Scott OT Tennessee
5: Lamarr Houston DT Texas
5: Perry Riley OLB LSU
6: Kade Weston DT UGA
