After 7 games, both teams are 4-3, but look at the stats:

Matt Ryan- 1,649 12 TD, 9 INT, QB Rating of 82.4, Completion Percetage of 59.7.

Joe Flacco - 1,849 12 TD, 5 INT, QB Rating of 95.6, Completion Percentage of 66.0.

Kinda neck to neck, but Flacco is playing much better then Matt Ryan so far this year.

Has Flacco played anything like NE, Dallas and NO on the road in his first seven games? Both are legitimate QB's but let's check the stats at the end of the season for a fair assessment.

His reads, the decisions he makes, the fact that his pre-snap reads end up with him throwing to spots where the receiver is going to be instead of waiting for someone to break open, the fact that he runs the no-huddle so efficiently, and a couple of years watching him tear up the ACC.

Matt Ryan is doing things no quarterback at his level should be. He doesn't have the greatest arm, but he is incredibly accurate and incredibly mature. He is intelligent and makes the right throw at the right time. He will only get better, and he's already pretty incredible.

Really, yet Flacco has more TD's, less int's, better completion % and better QB rating yet it's RYan who is doing things no quarterback at this level should be doing in year two. Think about what you say before you post man, if that's the case then Flacco is on another planet then Ryan.

Falcco is head and shoulders a better QB than Ryan. We picked the wrong guy.

Actually yeah, Flacco has played much tougher D's than Ryan and is still putting up almost double the production.

Joe Flacco has faced lesser competition and has gotton more help from his run game this year. Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez may be better than Derrick Mason and Todd Heap, but neither of them are bad players by absolutely any means. I'd take Mark Clayton over Michael Jenkins, and Ray Rice is a more QB friendly RB in that he is a constant threat in the receiving game as well.

you really think so?

Ryan have just had two not so well games. He had a couple of INTs that were drops and deflections. He has teammates that have not stepped up. The Ravens have stepped up in every game. They have a better defense, offensive line, and better all around team. Put the game on the line, and Ryan wins by a mile.

"No one who is a Falcon fan cares one way or the other about Flacco"
I think many Fans care a great deal about how we evaluate our draft picks and the comparison to Flacco may be revealing in this regard. There is no glory in being myopic about NFL Players. Breadth of knowledge helps a fan understand why the Falcons make decisions on free agents down the road.

Yeah, tell me about those nasty Cleveland Brown, San Diego, and Cincy defenses he's faced. Oh wait. Double the production? Really, now you've gone from spammy troll to full blown turbo tard.

Dismantled Denver's #1 defense.

Give Flacco his credit. As of now he's better. Still a long way to go.

I have not knocked Flacco. He is playing good football. He DOES have weapons equal to, or better than Ryan, he does have an offensive line, and he does have an awesome defense.

More than anything - he's blessed with receivers who get yards after the catch. They currently have almost double our yards after the catch - and little Ray Rice has 400 yards after the catch by himself. Almost as much as our total team.

I've always said we should have traded that pick down and got more guys. We could have had Flacco MUCH later in the draft.

You just blasted your golden child. When WR's are not getting YAC it's because the QB isn't delivering the ball on time with accuracy.

Well done

Guess what Cameron is not a Falcon. Stop making excuses. Joe is doing a better job. Except the facts!

Why compare after 7 games? Because it's convenient now? The fact is, Baltimore has the #10 rushing offense in the league, Atlanta the #17. Baltimore has the #13 defense in the league, Atlanta the #29. I mean, all things considering, you would think since the Raven's are performing so much better, that Flacco's stats would be far superior... but that's just not the case.

I'm going to have fun bumping this at the end of the year when Ryan has better stats in every single category, just like last year. Besides, we are both 4-3 and Flacco has a better team around him and has had an easier schedule.

I'll take Ryan for the win.
