I've never sad one bad thing about this colossal bust. But the way that his soft hands turn to stone every other season is too much.

You don't drop passes on 3rd down.

I'm so pissed off at this guy

It was a big drop on 3rd down but even the best drop a pass from time to time its part of the game. Jenkins is a good receiver in my opinion. I think he redeemed himself with that amazing catch on the sidelines tapping the toes give him some props for that catch man.

exactly.

I'm guessing the OP wants Tony G cut for his drops as well? Why don't we just cut Ryan while we're at it.

You guys act like this is the only pass he's ever dropped. He's a laughable excuse of a WR. He would be on special teams on any other team in the league.

A toe-tapping catch doesn't excuse letting the ball hit you in the hands on third down in the red zone. Booker would've caught it.

There's some merit to both opinions. Although Jenkins shouldn't be called a bust after one drop pass on 3rd down, he should probably be called a bust after being drafted in the 1st round 6 years ago, very little production, and inconsistent hands. He makes some spectacular catches but so did matt jones...

Cut him before the plane lands in Atlanta. Find somebody that WANTS to be a PRO WR and sign him. Chambers or someone else. Give Weems a shot at no.2. Good grief JenkDropkins SUX!

you're obviously a new fan.....so here's a little bit of history.

Huge Mike Jenk catches - just from top of my head

- Audible TD catch from Mike Vick
- Matt's first TD pass in a regular season game
- 11 seconds. enough said

Now please. welcome to the club, but STFU unless you have something intelligent to say

No need for personal attack. I'm just here to talk football.

You just attack everyone calling them new fans. Get real. How many times has a Jenkins drop turned into a pick 6? Do that from the top of your head.

Jenkins is a bum. You can't honestly tell me that Jenkins is a dependable #2 WR.

We don't necessarily have to cut him, but he should be benched until he gets his sh*t together. Play Booker or Finn in his place. The guy is absolutely soft and plays with no sense of urgency.

I thought when they resigned Jenkins it was a good call. The keep WR1 and WR2 here with Matt Ryan for a long time. HOWEVER, if Jenkins can't catch the ball, which year in and year out, he shows how inconsistent he is, he needs to go.

HE IS A LIABILITY ON THE FIELD. And as soon as Ryan loses confidence in him, he becomes invisible on the field and is one less option we have on the field.

then there's the TD catch Roddy had, when Jenk OUTRAN the safety to give Roddy the last block needed for a TD

I misread the thread title and thought Michael Jenkins was a transsexual.

I honestly think both of those guys would have caught that ball. Especially Finn, who SHOULD BE our 3rd down great-hands guy

I don't deny that he is a great blocker. He just has hands made of stone.

I love Michael Jenkins but that drop last night was bad.

He's had a really really bad season this year but I'm not ready to throw in the towel on him. He's got size and speed and last season he made some huge plays all year for us.

It hurts me to say but if he continues to play the way he's been playing, I'm done supporting him.

I want Elam cut. Well, not really, but I wonder if Keonen would be a better FG kicker than Elam.

We tried that already. The outcome was not so good. *cringe* Four missed FG's in one game and we sign Andersen.
