The reason Roddy had to dive and could not get to it was because he had his man beat, and got ankle tackled before the ball got there. As for the OPI... that was a non-call, just like it should've been. And that holding call on Peterson.... that was a home team special. No holding on that one...but if you want to see holding, just watch what happened to Abraham all night long.

We are 7-0 and I have heard almost the same crap for 7 weeks. I hope I hear the same crap for 12 more weeks :)

wrong, it was a very poor throw by Ryan again after he stared down Roddy the entire time.

the replay showed the safety go straight for the spot, ryan needs to improve dramatically if the int's are going to come down

I saw that as well, funny how al the homer fans I have to deal with on here.

I love the falcons but good lawd we have some awful homers on here who think the calls only go one way. This play could have easily been offensive PI

Thank you. We both know there was bad calls both ways last night. Can't we just agree that we do not want tht crew for the December game?

If you watch the replay Greer actually breaks on the ball before it was even thrown. Why can't you just tip your hat to the guy for doing his studying this week and knowing what was coming on that play. Plus it was a horrible throw no where near where White was going. He was breaking out and Ryan threw it in.

no need to study when Ryan stares down WR's the entire time, good play by the defender

he's got a horrible habit of that, it's as if he can't make multiple reads

i like ryan but the kid has a long way to go from being above average

This is so simple yall. Some of you got it. The others are just trying to ignore it. I just now saw the film again. The commentators last night called interference on the Saints interception TD and on the "Playbook" highlights on NFL.com they show and explain that it was obvious interference. It was a slant slide combination route and Roddy was pushed down with 2 hands when the ball was about 3/4 of the way to him. I don't see how the refs didn't see it. They even stop the film while the ball is in the air. NO question. On the Roddy TD. If you watch it. The defender doesn't just stop. I think he got confused and almost jumps backwards and sideways into Roddy. Roddy basically kept runnning to get off, veered over and caught the ball. He did what he was supposed to do. Other than fall over. He ran to the ball. Plain good no call. I did hate that call on Perersen. The Saints played well. Without those 2 calls. It woulda either been a Falcon win. Or a closer game. Who knows? That's why we hate the Saints and they hate us. Falcons will knock em out in the playoffs like always anyway. Good game.

i swear i saw the corner push roddy white beyond the five yards, it made roddy off balance and off the route, and then the corner went for the ball. The game woulda changed so much without that near the end of the half play

Kind of like when Roddy pushed off CLEARLY when he caught the deep pass. They go both ways.

Exactly. I guess the commentators and people on NFL network are "Falcons homers" too. That was clearly PI, I don't care what team you're a fan of. If you can't see that you don't know anything about football. These Saints fans keep thinking we're saying the reason the ball was intercepted was because of PI, NO, that's not what I'm saying at least. I'm saying the interception should have been called back because of the PI. Roddy was layed out by Vilma before the ball was anywhere near him.

How can you say the INT was more costly, the Robby push off had the same results? "TD"

Very simple, one was a Turnover and a TD, the other was just a TD. If Roddy's TD was called back the falcons still had the ball and a chance to score. If the PI is called on the INT, falcons still will have the ball, NO won't score, and falcons may have scored on the drive. So the no-call on the INT was much more costly than the no-call on Roddy's TD.

I'm not blaming the loss of refs. We lost, fair an square. The turning point was the pick in the redzone. All I am saying is that was it was a BS play.

The one thing that makes me sick is hearing all this perfect season talk so early. Brother I will spot you the win last night but dont act like you were craping your pants in the 3rd and 4th quarter. I say this bring DAT to the GA dome and you will see WHO DAT IS. I will be blunt Saints shouldnt have won last night and they wont win in the DOME. Bring it.

Are you stupid, the db is blocking stopping white and is looking down, look at the picture and the db made no attempt to catch the pass b/c he did not locate it. this was lopsided calling for the saints any way you slice it, the holds on smith are canceled by all the holds on abe.

Roddy played the ball and pushed the db b/c the db slowed down in front of white w/out locating the ball. the db made no attempt for the ball when he could easily have.

DON"T forget the greer tackle of white in the endzone on the white td that was overturned. that is a 10pt swing that gave the saints the game.

You are talking to the biggest Ryan hater on the boards - of course he'll agree with you. Anything to make Ryan look bad. Don't believe me - go back and look at his posts.

Vick fan not Falcon fan hatin' on Ryan every chance he gets.

If you count that Elam got his shoes from the Saints training staff before the game thats now 6 more potential points.

The bottom line is the refs were eating Gumbo all night and we all know it. Ryan played a good game. White played well. The only play I can remember being angry about Atl was when Jamal Anderson was covering Shokey and when Mike Jenkins dropped that first down. They are who we thought they are and we beat them in their dome. The score can say what it wants they know whats coming.
