SaintAnger there's a smack forum on carolinahuddle.com where they will be happy to banter with you, right now the only Saints fans on there are homers. Give 'em **** and tell
em DFA sent ya! ;)

Exactly my point! Go to bed! Leave the Falcons fans who are done with you alone and go bother the Panties! May have some luck there!

I'm hoping Saints finally can out muscle the division like the 49ers used to do, season after season. Make these other teams in the division our punching bags.

I'm tired of tight games and rivalries! I want to DOMINATE ALL!!!! http://life.atlantafalcons.com/public/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif

Can't help it - this made me laugh out loud +1 for you!

I don't get it, either. I have been a Falcons fan for around 12 years and have been through ups and downs with our team. I have taken s*** when we were bad and heard nothing but silence when we are doing well. But, I have NEVER gone around bragging and acting like an idiot. I just walk around with my head held high when they are giving us crud and smile and feel proud when we are doing well.

Maybe it's a measurement (mine is bigger than yours and it's not) thing or a paper bag thing. But, I have dealt with Saints fans even here in California and I can tell you that they are all extremely obnoxious when they feel they have reason to be and then mysteriously disappear like last season when things aren going there way. Either way, I have yet to meet a Saints fan that shows humility and acts with class and respect for others. Go figure!

There are actually a lot of them. I've been to many, many Saints/Falcons games over the years - going way back to the 70's. I've met a lot of fun, funny people and had a great time at those games.

I can understand a little of what they are feeling. This is an organization that has never been this successful, but has maintained a large fanbase through it all. Yes, there are plenty of bandwagon fans jumping on right now - but there are a ton of very loyal fans who have been around through all the losing and last minute destructive turns.

I think they are just high on power right now - and with us being their oldest rival and pretty much the team that most closely resembled their own history - they just have to beat their chests right now.

I wouldn't worry about it too much - they are the Saints after all. http://life.atlantafalcons.com/public/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif

When we beat them down in the Dome - with our limping team - they'll quiet down.

I agree with most of you statement except for the bolded part. I have been to over 20 msg boards from other teams and no matter who they are the fans go crazy against their team after the loss. Even the Patriots fans were getting on Brady earlier this year... it is to be expected from any team fan base not just the Falcons.

yeah scorpion thats true.

You can bet these guys still keep their paper bags in the sock drawer just in case.

HAHHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHH SO TRUE!!!

They're doing it because they know their team is massively overrated and doesn't have the defense to make it past the 1st or 2nd game of the playoffs.

I'm a relative newcomer to Falcons football - I signed on in 2006 when my son joined the team. And I've only been on this board for about a year, so I didn't really have a handle on the depth of the Saints/Falcons rivalry until now. What gets me is that we're two days removed from the game and a busload of these jackhole New Orleans fans are still trolling TATF. Contesting every point that's made, running their mouths, thumping their chests, re-defining what it means to be a jerk. I've never trolled any other team's board because all that smacking just seems like a waste of time. I get why some people do it but I can't for the life of me imagine hanging around for days after the game. It's like maybe they're just not that confident after all. Like they know their team is good but they're still captive to their mostly miserable history. Underneath all the bluster I'm sensing genuine fear, and why not? You can bet these guys still keep their paper bags in the sock drawer just in case.

There is a long relationship with the Saints. For most of our existence, these 12 teams have been horrible. The fan bases have been stuck withb ad teams for 40+ years. In many of those seasons, the only real chance either team had of winning a game was against each other. I feel for Saints fans - we have a similar history.

It is in that vein that the "rivalry" was born. We are in uncharted waters now - for the first time in 40 years, both organizations are putting together consistantly good teams. So the little match that was the Saints/Falcons fued just had a 55 gallon barrell of gas dumped on it.

Honestly, I love the city of New Orleans. Their fans are truly supportive. I love the trash talking. I just hate the Saints. :)

Aside from the bandwagon chumps that started showing up about a month ago talking trash about everyone, I don't think Saints fans are that bad. From my perspective anyway. Falcons have a much deeper, hated history with the Saints so I'm sure a Falcon fans perspective may be different than my own.

SaintsAnger, if you're still trolling around, I want you to know that I really do enjoy your posts. Articulate, semi-veiled insults are my favorite kind, and I'm pretty sure you could hold your own on any message board. And I actually do like your city - parts of it anyway. I understand why its a tourist destination. I'd come myself just for Commander's Palace, Central Market muffalettas, and believe it or not, the St. Louis cemeteries. For me, the Quarter can get a little tedious, and Bourbon Street is a complete abomination.

And saintmtillage, if you're still out there - well, let's just say you're no SaintsAnger.

Pedigree as in long term talent? Not an issue. They find talent everywhere, do you dispute this?

We have the talent evaluators, the coaches and the coveted elite QB.

The holy trinity of championship. B)

BS.. you have spend the last 2-3 off-seasons trading draft picks for expensive veteran players,in a desparate attempt to get to the next level.

You'd better win it all this year, becasue you have a team - particualrly on the defensive side of the ball - that is built for short term success. In contrast, we have been hoarding picks and have a very young team that is built for the longer term future.

You guys are at your peak, whislt we are 2-3 years away from ours, and with all of our injuries you are still only 8 points better even on your own field.

If anybody is going to "muscle the division like the 49ers used to do, season after season" it isgoing to be the birds...

Well as a relatively new fan you have captured the angst of the Saints fans very well. They DO have an incredible team, but deep in their fan's hearts is a genuine fan that they will melt down the stretch. Personally I am betting on it. They also can't stand the fact that we made it a competitive game when they thought they would just give us a beatdown.

Over the long history of these two very poor franchises there have been some of the most incredibly intense games I have ever seen in the NFL. It's too bad so few people outside of our two organizations have seen them. I say I "hate the Saints" because I just wanna beat them so bad, but actually I am very thankful they have always been here to give us so many great games.

Something makes me think that fetal isn't the only position you take.
