Norwood is still not ready to go," Smith said. "We certainly hope that we can get him back sooner than later." Norwood has been out since early in the year and may have suffered a setback.

He can take all the time he needs so he can be nice and healthy for the playoffs.

Quote

Any update on your running backs?
A. “It was nice to see Jason Snelling get some limited work today. Jerious Norwood is still not ready to go. He worked on the side with the trainers and we certainly hope we can get him back sooner that later.”

The actual quote did not mention a set back. He was expected to miss 2-4 with the Hip Flexor and it doesn't sound like anything has changed.

I actually want him to sit for this one...if it's not risking too much I'd like him back for Carolina but I'm really looking for him to be back in 3 weeks. He'll be a lot healthier then and having him against the Giants, Saints, and Jets is gonna be big.

I agree. It would be nice if he was healthy enough for the Panties. If not, he'll still be around for the final stretch.

Hip Pointer is no joke. It's what prematurely ended Bo Jackson's career. He wound up having to get a hip replacement surgery.

I quietly have been thinking we might not see Norwood for a long while...like 3-5 more games. I really wouldn't be surprised. I hope not, but it looks like it more and more.

Or Virginia Tech (Vick, Hall, J Williams), no more corners from Nebraska (Pickens, Booker).

Bo Jackson had something worse than a hip pointer
if I am not mistaken it was a "left hip fracture
dislocation".

Actually, Jackson suffered from a broken ball socket on his hip, where the femur connected to the hipbone. The injury woudl not heal and Jackson developed necrosis in the bone there, which meant no blood flow to the afflicted area. This is why Jackson needed a new hip socket.

See my post below yours. Basically the bone died because of no blood flow, so Jackson had hip replacement surgery.

Yep, it was already expected he would miss around 2 to 4 weeks so this is really not news. Not the setback that was stated by the author or at least when you are expecting 4 weeks and it has been about 2 to 3 I would not consider it that.
