Alright I looked on the Falcons home page and I saw the flashing red banner that said Snelling and Norwood are questionable not out. I found this quote from yesterday that says :

Q. Any update on your running backs?
A. “It was nice to see Jason Snelling get some limited work today. Jerious Norwood is still not ready to go. He worked on the side with the trainers and we certainly hope we can get him back sooner that later.”

That quote was from yesterday and anything could happen between here and there. The only place I found the exact quote with the added setback not in quotes was from Rotoworld as in fantasy football half azzed reporting. Sorry if I missed the real quote on the Falcons home page but Rotoworld has a way of injecting opinions as fact. It is a fantasy football board afterall.

TRUST ME! He's ok.....Smitty is too smart....he knows when he has to use his 'best' weapon.

No Smith is telling the truth. I spoke with Norwood personal in New Orleans on Bourbon street and he said he will be out for a few more weeks.

I would be comfortable with Smitty holding Norwood out and deploying him in games where we NEED an extra edge, like the Saints and playoffs. If we can't handle the Skins without Norwood, we have other problems to address.

If this is his best weapon, we are in trouble. That's like having a gun that you can't find ammo for. I got my best weapon here, but I can't us it. It's always broken. It's time to go shopping.

Norwood has a body built for "Tag" football, nothing more.

Ridiculous.

Yeah,
That would be a smart move, let go of one of our most explosive offensive players. I guess you think we have alot of them on this team, but it's pretty obvious to me we don't. Finneran missed two season in a row due to injury and makes double Norwoods salary as a 3rd string Wideout.
Injuries happen, Look at Abe who has had one relatively injury free season with us.
Our 1st and 2nd round draft picks did make it through half the season and they make 4 times more than Norwood!

We need more weapons not less to continue to be a solid team.

that would be fine if we were keeping him on his current payscale.
Leon Washington just got 5M+ a season as a backup, and he and Norwood are very similar, minus the injuries.

Not so sure TD will fork that out for a chance of pace back who is knicked constantly.

I know he is a playmaker, and a game changer when healthy. HE is my sons favorite player as well, for that reason alone I would hope we kept him.

I just dont know that it will happen. But teams have stuck with injured guys before. Look at PHI with Buckhalter and Falcons with Finn, so you never know.

He also had 2 concussions three weeks apart. That is bad news for anyone. He's lucky he can remember the playbook daily.

i cant stand atlanta fans when they say this. look at eddie royal for denver out of vt. look at brandon flowers just because we never had the right gm doesnt mean smith and co. will make the same bad picks.

Nice guys, pile on the guy when he's injured... All he does is average like freaking 7 yards a carry.... Lots of good players struggle through injuries, especially running backs. None of his injuries have been season ending. Your arguments might have weight if he was our starter and was getting paid Turner money.

Bo Jackson had something worse than a hip pointer
if I am not mistaken it was a "left hip fracture
dislocation".

Bo actually almost pulled the leg bone from the socket of his hip. The end of the bone became fractured and splintered. There was no doubt that his football career was over immediately following the injury. Hip replacement was his only option.

I'm afraid Norwood isn't going to be around after this year. He has always seemed fragile and now after the concussions this year....
