We've got 3 or 4 threads about the Pro Bowl and a chorus of people screaming that Lofton got snubbed. That's the homer in us speaking, and I can appreicate that, but I just wanted to point a couple of things out.

Lofton is 4th in the league in tackles. It also happens that the 3 guys in front of him are all in the NFC and they are all MLB or ILB.

Two of the three guys in front of him didn't make it either.

If you add sacks + passes defended + INTs together, here is what you get:

He was probably instructed to do so by Pollian, but Peyton looked very distraught. Actually all of the starters that were taken out looked pretty upset about the whole thing. And the crowd was booing their 14-0 team for most of the second half, even when they still had the lead, so that was kind of bizarre.

I understand why Caldwell and Pollian did it, but I still think it was the wrong way to go. What do you guys think?
